Italia 1 / 2 A doctor with an MPhil degree is not a doctor by any means, but it is still important to take an MSc in a subject that could help you get a better job in the future.
Theoretically, this degree could open the door to a position in the field of medicine, as long as you are well educated and have good references.
“But for now, the first thing you need to do is to decide whether you want to pursue a doctorate in medicine, MPhil or MSc,” says Paolo Mazzuccio, MD, associate professor of medicine at the University of Padua.
“The MPhil is a prerequisite for obtaining a doctorat, but the MSc is not.
If you are not a medical doctor by the age of 40, the doctorat won’t help you.”
If you want a doctor in medicine and the MPhil isn’t in your CV, the only option is to study at the Faculty of Medicine in Rome, where the MPhD is offered for free.
“There are also some courses offered by other universities and colleges, but they are mainly geared towards the general public.”
A MPhil course in medicine isn’t the only one that can help you find work in the medical field.
There are a number of different degrees in medicine available, which include: doctor of medicine (MPhil), doctor of public health (MPhD), doctorate of medicine in medicine (DMPH), doctorates of medicine and surgery (MDMS) and doctorate as an honorary doctorate.
The MSc also comes with a few benefits.
It can be a great way to get your foot in the door in medical school, since it will make you a more attractive candidate.
However, there are some disadvantages as well, such as the fact that it is only offered to students who are at least 17 years old, or who are not Italian.
As it is, there is no guarantee that you will get a position within the medical profession, as the government has not yet established the number of applicants for the MPS.
There are, however, a number other opportunities in medicine that may help you to get a job in your field, says Mazzucci.
The first one is in surgery.
According to the Italian Institute of Medicines, more than 500,000 surgeons work in Italy, and the total number of surgeons is around 2.8 million.
According to a survey carried out by the Italian Association of General Practitioners, there were 8.7 million patients who underwent elective surgery in 2013, up from 7.7 in 2011.
“It is important to have an MPh or MPhil in surgery, since that will give you the chance to become a surgeon, which will allow you to treat patients and give them the best possible results,” says Stefano Girolami, MD and head of the department of surgery at the Piacenza Hospital.
“This will be a good chance to take the first steps into medical school.”
According to the survey, surgeons were the least likely to be female, the most likely to work in private practice and the least educated among the profession.
The survey also found that more than 80 percent of surgeons had completed the postgraduate training programme in their respective specialties.
Girolama is convinced that a good MPhil will be crucial for getting the job, even if he doesn’t have a specific medical background.
“Most medical graduates, especially those who have already gone to a private practice, are very good candidates.
They have knowledge of the field and can be effective in other fields.
But there are certain things you need for the job: the willingness to learn and the ability to collaborate, and this is what you will need for an MPH degree.”
Girolimi also points out that it’s important to do a little bit of research beforehand.
“In Italy, we are always talking about MPhils and MScs, but you should also do a bit of investigation,” he says.
“For example, you should go through the requirements for each degree, and find out what you would like to study.
Also, you might want to check if you qualify for a doctorates in medicine.
It’s not just about what you can do in medicine but what you do in the community.”
In general, it is important that candidates apply themselves and work hard, but don’t make the mistake of over-promising, Mazzucio adds.
“We can’t have an ideal society if we are not ambitious, because you don’t have the opportunity to work hard in your life.
If a candidate does everything right and gets an MPS, then he will have a good career and be able to help his family and friends.”
