A new Bachelor degree in Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Florida is offering students a glimpse into the world of cryptocurrency.
According to the program, the program’s curriculum “works to build the foundation of a skilled and responsible individual who can apply the mathematical knowledge and skills of the field to the practical application of the blockchain and cryptocurrency.”
“The goal is to give students a realistic understanding of the cryptocurrency industry and the possibilities of using the technology to solve real problems in the real world,” said the school’s website.
“This is not just another course in the field, this is a genuine learning opportunity that will challenge students to grow as a mathematician and to find a career path in the crypto-industry.”
